WSF Load

Howdy folks! First post here on the forum. I am collecting information on loading some 1 1/8 oz. short 10 target loads. Specifically, I am working on a load using cheddite hulls and primers, WSF powder, nitro card and fiber wad, and roll crimping. The comprehensive load data list on this site shows several card and filler loads for unspecified hulls. In particular, I found a 1 1/4 oz. Load using 44 grains of Herco, at a published 1360 fps (I’d prefer to be below 1250).

I see that Herco and WSF are very close in burn rate, so my question for y’all here is this: if I drop the shot charge from 1 1/4 to 1 1/8, and wish to drop the velocity a bit as well, what might be a good starting place for powder charge?
To be clear, any load I put together will be sent to Precision Reloading or Tom Armbrust before I ever fire any through my gun. I have no intention of proceeding with unproven load data.

Thanks in advance for any advice or information, hope y’all are having a great day!

Samuel:

I use 24 grains of WSF for my 1.25 ounce 10 gauge loads. You might start at 22 grains of WSF in your 1.125 ounce load and experiment from there.
