Remy 1900 CEO correct pads

Picked up a Remy CEO trap with a Pachmayr pad need suggestions for replacement. Gun has some ejector issue which hopefully will be sorted out this week.I have repo Silver s,Hawkins and a vintage Perkins pad.Correct pad for the gun ?.Thanks,Grayson

I would think that a silvers would be the only period correct option for when the gun was made.

I agree. The earliest Perkins pad listing I've seen is in the c. 1916 H&D Folsom catalog

None of the Remington Arms Co. catalogs mention recoil pads, but I believe this leather-faced Silvers on my 1906 vintage DEO-Grade 16-gauge is original.

According to the Remington Model 1894 serial number chronology the late Charles Semmer produced from surviving shipping records, for his book Remington Double Shotguns, your gun is of late 1905 vintage. Here is the Trap Gun page from the 1905-06 Remington Arms Co. catalog --

While the Pigeon Gun listed in the 1902 catalogs and the Trap Guns shown in the 1903-04 through 1909 catalogs are pictured with a safety I have recorded half a dozen "no safety" Remington Hammerless Double --

all the later style action with separate firing pins.
