The Southern Dove Field Events??? 4/23-4/24

The Dove Field Events show a time of 12noon. Does that mean they end at 12 noon or start at 12 noon??

Depends on whether you set your clocks back 1 hour last weekend.

Wednesday starts at noon. Thursday usually starts much earlier.

Tell me more. Not much info for those "out of the loop".

Rick runs 5-Stand events on the dove field. They are 30 bird events shot Wednesday-Thursday and they include the Smith-Parker 20, 16 and 10g Challenge. He also has 8g, 12g and pump events. All for trophy. The 8g 5-Stand will be combined with the 50 bird field event to win the 8g HOA Combined trophy sponsored by Rock Mountain Sporting Clays.

The qualifiers for the Smith-Parker Challenge Cup will be shot on the Dove Field Thursday afternoon, Friday all day and Saturday morning. That is a 50 bird qualifier. The top 10 scores from each manufacturer qualify to shoot off for the Challenge Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Oh, I see. Thanks. Sounds like fun!

Stan,

I know it is a busy time for you on the farm, but you really need to let your son/grandsons cover for you while you come over for a day or 2 days, you really need to be "in the loop":)

I have some reloading to complete yet, other than that, I wish it was starting tomorrow:rolleyes:

Ditto to Mr Hoover's comments. It's a great time with fellow Parker folks and the report of the shotguns is constant for 4 days. In addition, there are copious amounts amazing firearms available to fondle and/or acquire. It's like Disney World for SxS shooters.

Only a few months into the group here…and I am really looking forward!!
The farm will be put on hold for a few days. My grandmother advised me decades ago,
“The work will still be here when you get back.”
