DE Fox 12ga 28" Restoration of wood
1 Attachment(s)
A beautiful job by Brian Dudley refinishing the stock on a early 2nd generation Fox DE. Normally, I try to avoid projects but Fox only made 105 DE's in 12ga so I had to save this one. The stock had a poorly repaired major chip/chunk to the toe, stained reddish and a sprayed on finish of some type. Brian removed the old finish, refinished it in Timberlux and recut the checkering. I couldn't be happier. The gun is the bottom gun in the picture, the top gun is it's near twin made in the same year 1913.

Wow! There is nothing else to say Craig.

Beautiful guns and the repair looks perfect. Brian's work is definitely top notch.

What a pair! Good work, Brian.

Thanks for the mention Craig.
This is what the stock looked like before. I knew there was nice stuff hiding under there. This photo actually looks lighter than it was. It was very dark and opaque looking. Attachment 131925 |
Craig, Your commitment to the Fox and Parker guns is inspiring. Thank you.
