10 gauge #4 buckshot
I'm getting ready to load up some #4 buckshot tomorrow for the 6 frame 10 ga, I also decided to buy an original antique roll crimper as well to try out.
Does anyone have a 1.5oz load using Bluedot ? Currently I'm using 1 3/8oz. I ordered a new hull trimmer as well to try out I didn't care for one of the Bpi ones I bought before. So I'm justing waiting on the original roll crimper to come in hopefully tomorrow. |
The antique roll crimper works pretty well its so compact im just going to keep it on my coffee table haha. I also bought a new hull trimmer, there's probably a million different 3d printed hull trimmers now but I have to say this one works extremely well.

I bought the same trimmer and it works well.

It definitely beats my old method of measuring each shell and using a wood dowel and pipe cutter haha.
Digging through my box of hulls tonight I found a whole bag of new Remington 10 ga hulls I completely forgot I bought probably a year ago. |
What is your source of the pictured hull trimmer?

I like how it has a set screw so you can't accidentally over trim your hulls, which I've done with other hull trimmers lol when cutting 3.5" hulls down to 2 7/8s. This seems to be the fastest and easiest way so far. |

Yeah pretty much anything around coyote sized, my PH 10 ga is choked xf/xf so I figured I'd stay on the smaller size for buckshot. I could carry the 8 gauge but I've had the 6 frame for a couple years and I need to start hunting with it more. I'll mostly be loading more birdshot, I have some Bismuth T shot as well.
