Parker shotgun malfunction

Hello, I have a question about a Parker shotgun that is listed for sale. The owner says that the safety is nonfunctioning and that when the rear trigger is pulled that both barrels fire. Does this sound like something that can be fixed fairly easily. It's a decent looking example and a small gauge gun. Thanks for any and all advise.

Do you have proof that this gun is actually a Meriden, Connecticut or Ilion, New York made Parker? What small gauge is it represented to be? This is not a malfunction common to Parkers.

The safety function could be a number of issues, but likely someone has removed the safety toggle on purpose. As to the doubling off of the rear trigger, also could be a number of issues. Sounds like the gun has been "worked" on and not done quite right.

It's a Trojan 16 ga. made in Meriden CT.

The issues could be a number of things. Unless it is an absolute steal, it is beat to let it be someone elses problem.
