Win AA 1 OZ loads at Midway

Hello all. I had received a flyer from Midway showing 1 OZ sporting clays loads at 1250 FPS for 99.99 a case with free shipping. I bought a case and they have arrived in Midway's usual fast shipping time of 3 days free. The boxing is a new design with all the pertinent info listed.
As I opened a box up I noticed the primers are copper colored in center with usual outer silver ring. The don't match any primer I have in my stock. Not like other Win primers, or Rem's , or even my Cheddite's. Weird.
Was wondering whose they may be. Cant beat the price since last Win AA's Sporting Clays loads I got were from defunct Gander Mt for around 80 bucks back in '16 or '17. Plus now I'm older all I shoot are 1 OZ or maybe 7/8 OZ at same fps sooo should be good. Thanks Matt k

Matt that is a good price including shipping.
Dawson's in Canton Ohio lists them for $ 106.00 a flat but there is no shipping.

I went to LGS yesterday for reloading stuffs and asked him if he could identify the copper centered primer on my shells. The owner believed the primers used on this load batch were CCI. He had a partial box old leftover CCI 209's to look at and they matched appearance completely. None of his other loaded Win AA's have these primers either. His instock shells were 1 1/8 loads
No big deal i guess. Info available says CCI's are basically same physical size, and I should have no probs using Win 209's after. Still have a 5K sleeve to use before switching to cheddite's. Matt K

This isn’t gospel by any means but I’ve interchanged WIN 209 , CCI 209 , Cheddercheeseites and REM 209’s with no noticeable difference . With that being said I’ve used a brick of Federal 209A’s occasionally also with no noticeable difference . By no means am I suggesting anyone do as I do just saying to date I’ve not experienced ANYTHING negative by interchanging primers .

Agree. Especially on the lower pressure loads we tend to shoot.

Posted this in 2021. Assume it still is good stuff

Tom Roster has tested various primers side by side. Not much difference in velocity, slightly more in pressures.

Ditto above has been my experience changing primers. Little noticeable difference betweeen those cited pressing in STS, GC, FPs, and Cheddite hulls. Minor felt recoil distinction with low pressure recipes.
