Hi all! Can you please help with stamps/markings? Can anyone help correct me or help fill in my unknowns below? I have a 1925 12g GHE 30”
PIC1: PS in a circle = parker spec. steel HT over A = heat treated? something A? Not sure of the mark to the right of the HT over A = 41? Barrel weight? PIC2: 12 = 12g Below the 12 is maybe a 1 1/? = ???? Assume 1 1/2? Frame size? PIC3: JG in a circle = James Geary barrel inspector PIC4: GH = GH grade, but no E and this does have ejectors 213643 = s/n from 1925 2 = what would this be? Thanks all! |
I think the "STORY" on this gun is less of the Parker stampings and more about the "Pachmayr" on the water table.
Would like to see more pics of this gun. Bob Jurewucz |

PIC 1 -- The two guesses on what the HT over A stands for are 1. Heat Treated Annealed. 2. High Tensile Alloy.
PIC 2 -- poorly struck 1 1/2 for the frame size. PIC 3 -- Correct. PIC 4 -- Parker Bros. never added the E on the watertable stamping of the Quality. The 2 under the serial number is the Grade. Grade 2 hammerless guns were Quality GH in 12-gauge and smaller and Quality EH in 10-gauge. Attachment 128687 Attachment 128688 |
