Clays with a LC Smith 10 bore
3 Attachment(s)
I tried her out today while at Rock Mountain Clays here in PA. 10-gauge LC Smith Grade 0 in high condition, 30" Damascus barrels, 2-7/8" chambers, mirror bores, Mod & Full. Stock drop not quite 2-5/8" and only 8-14 on my digital scale. Shipped January 19, 1910. I tested a few light target loads and from what I've unravelled of her history, today is the first time she's been fired in many many years. Check out that "imported walnut" stock.

I once owned a 32" barreled O grade LC Smith 2 7/8" ten with high quality damascus barrels. Mine weighed right at 10 pounds. I used it successfully on ducks a couple times but it was so weight forward that I took the first opportunity to trade it off. Never regretted that trade because it was how I came to have Susie, my 32" barreled Field Grade LC Smith 16 gauge FWE. Only field grade Elsie I ever saw with those options, including a flawless factory HOT.
That's a really nice one, Frank. Thanks. |
