Gunsmith help wanted
I have a D grade Parker that was made in 1898 and converted sometime in the past to have a Miller single trigger. I would like to find someone who has access to the parts and experience to convert it back to the original double triggers. Help!!

Spending $800 to remove a working $1500 trigger somehow seems like the wrong thing to do, especially when it will not enhance the value of the gun.

Dan May works on Miller triggers and I believe could convert back to double triggers.

addition info
When I pull the trigger and both barrels go off and I have to shoot it as a single shot I do not think working is the proper term.

If Dan May would send me a PM I would appreciate it.

Converting back a miller is not an easy task. The entire trigger plate needs to be changed out since the miller requires the trigger slots to be opened up to one large hole.
So, replace and fit plate, engraving recut, screws, and all of the other related double trigger parts. You can decide if the juice is worth the squeeze. You are better off having Dan sort the trigger out and get it working correctly. |
