PB powder replacement
 

What powder among the array available would closely approximate PB? I have loaded my last box of 16 2&1/2 with PB and need a low pressure powder replacement.

Winchester 572 is listed as a good substitute for lower pressures. I have one pound of 7625 left, and will be switching to PB, but knowing that's going to short lived, I tried some 572. It's dirty but felt recoil is similar. If I recall, I was dropping 16 grs. It's very dense so total charge is lower. It will require some playing around with wads.

16g I use Longshot and Unique. I have a good supply of 572, just haven’t used any yet.
