Nobel sport 28 gauge

I have a flat of noble sport NSI 28 T1 does anyone know what recipe to follow for them? As in is it a cheedite or Fio or what? I took a hull apart and the base wad didn’t look my cheedite or Fio ones in my figuring out stash. Any help is appreciated

I got a good deal on some Nobel Sports in 12 and 20-gauge and shot a lot of them. And while they work well in my modern guns, I found that the base just ahead of the rim can expand when fired in SxS's that don't keep the outboard end of the ejector or extractor from moving out of place when fired. Same in Model 12's if there's a obvious step transition between the chamber and chamber ring. Either in turn can cause hard opening of the gun. Me, I just shoot and toss the NS hulls. Not worth trying to reload them when there are tons of once fired Rem Gun Clubs and some Win AA hulls for the picking at good sporting clays places. Again, that's for 12 and 20-gauge. With all that said, I don't know what the life of reloaded NS 28 hulls might be and if it's worth the trouble trying to do that. Just my experience and opinion on all of this.

The AA hulls are superior to the remington sts?

Interesting. I thought my repro only did that. If I shoot reloads out of my 28 gauge tubes from Briley 90% won’t fit back in my repro 28. Glad to hear it’s not my gun. Btw those were AA that did that. I pretty much never shoot my tubes anymore if I plan on reloading them for my repro 28

I wish I could get the components to reload Remington 28 gauge hulls, as in Rem wads.

Yes definitely, well known amongst gents who shoot and reload a lot of 28’s. Unless Remington has changed the polymer recently, 28g STS hulls will get ratty crimps after 3 reloads.

Just an aside, while at the Vintage Cup last September, a well known vendor had Winchester AA 28's at only $11.00 per flat more than NobelSport 28's. A no brainer.
