I have been looking for a bit and finally picked up my first Parker VH 20 gauge. Ordered some RST ammo and am looking forward to killing some wood cock with it this weekend!

Congrats on your 1st Parker. Looks like it's in great condition. Where did you find it?

20 Ga. Parkers are sweet guns. You should enjoy that one alot! Nice condition, could be a later Remington gun based on the checkering border.

Congratulations on your acquiring your shotgun. Good shooting.

I dumped a few woodcock this weekend with my VH 20 as well. The “Remington Era” guns are Parker’s manufactured or assembled after the Remington purchase of Parker.

True, Remington both assembled Parkers from Parker Bros. inventory of parts but also began manufacturing their own barrels, frames and woodwork too.

The history of the Parker shotgun is a rich and very interesting one.
For those who want to know it “all”, pick up a two-volume set of The Parker Story.
