Bullseye Powdef
I have an opportunity to acquire several jugs of Bullseye Powder. I searched the Alliant reloading WS for possible shotgun loads but found none. Can this be used for 12 and other gauges? Are there published recipes to be found somewhere?
Thanks |
Bullseye is an excellent powder …………… , for an 45 ACP .

Yes there are published loads for bullseye. Max 1 oz, look in Loadbooks USA manuals.
https://www.precisionreloading.com/cart.php#!c=153&l=LB Alliant no longer lists bullseye as a shotgun powder because they have red dot, E3, and extra-lite. But bullseye was listed for light target loads up through the 1980's IIRC. I've never heard of anyone having problems with it. |
Bullseye is just a bit faster burning than Red Dot. It is an acceptable powder for 12 gauge 7/8 ounce loads at 1200 fps.
