Parker Invincible O/U
 

Insomnia at 4:00 am yields unusual things. I had not heard of this venture but thought of interest to our Parker family. I assume it has been discussed in the past.

I am not familiar with the action, unusual pins sticking out if the ejectors, seems like a poor design if that was part of the lock up. Most of these one off O/U projects 20 years ago were manufactured in Italy or Spain for the American market. Forearm iron was trying to be special.

A link to the auction and a link to a trapshooters forum discussing the guns. Sounds like they had been at the Dayton Grand American late in the 90’s and early 2000’s. In the thread it appears that a B grade was on Gunbroker back in 2019 as well.

I have one of the finished actions and some other parts . The action was sent to the engraver....someone i n Ohio as I recall...but the engraver never had a deposit..so no engraving was done. . I bought all the parts he had for 1 gun. I THINK he said he did 5 or 6 engraved actions...

Kevin McCormack and I inspected these guns at a Vintagers shoot years ago. Kevin testfired, but I was recovering from spinal surgery and passed on the testfire. The gun had way too many exposed, dirt catching parts in the breech area making it a nightmare of a competition gun. I was not impressed. The manufacture seemed to have been done by mailed in instructions by a dozen or more participants. I was a registered participant in three or four different shooting disciplines at the time, offered to take their guns on the road, but never heard from them again.

Good intentions. Horrible execution.

Thank you Brian for sharing this. I had never heard of it. In reading the information provided on the Trap Shooters forum link, and looking at the gun, I am perplexed as to why they would not model the action and lines from a Parker SBT...................seems that would be easier, and a whole lot more pleasing to the eye compared to what they came up with. It is difficult to look at........................................

As I recall they had two of them in their booth, possibly three. I handled them and examined them and was unimpressed.
It was nothing more than their attempt to capitalize on something far superior to their short sighted attempts.

Was there an attempt by the origional Parker Brothers firm to create an over and under?I have some memory of reading of this.

According to TPS they investigated the possibility but nothing ever became of it.
