Steel Shot in a Repro?

Question, Is it safe to shoot steel shot in a Repro?

Bob Jurewicz 09-21-2023 06:53 AM

The "Repro Factory Literature" said you could.

John,
One more thing. I recall it was not recommended for Mod and Full chokes.

Please read the 2nd full paragraph in the right hand column. This interview of Jack Skeuse by Stuart Williams appeared in the Oct./Nov. 1988 issue of Shooting Sportsman Magazine. The entire interview can be read in the All Albumns section on this site.

Ditto great info

Anything less than .020" constriction is safe to shot steel. There is enough compression in the steel loads to safely pass through .020". More than that and you will start to put a ring in the choke area.
