Galazan Slip on Recoil Pad
Have put a Galazan Slip On Pad on my M21. I need the additional LOP and recoil reduction, but do not want to modify what is otherwise a 99% gun. The issue is that the pad face is very smooth leather, and the gun moves around on my shoulder during recoil when I am wearing a smooth shirt Any suggestions how I can stop the slippage? Rough up the leather with something like 80 grit sandpaper? Glue on some sort of rough fabric to the pad face? Your thoughts are welcome

Slipping recoil pad
I have the same problem and cured it with no skid black tape you can buy at marine stores used on boats and many hardware stores carry the same usually 2" wide. Just looked at mine it's labeled 3M Safety Walk tape comes in a room like Duc tape. I put it on rubber butts Wood Butts and Bakelite type butt plates. It can be rough on cotton shirts but just sand down lightly. Let me know how it works.

Glue on a strip of emery cloth, the kind that comes in a roll, about 120 grit. When I competed in NMLRA offhand rifle matches i shot an Appalachian style long rifle that had no buttplate (called a Po' Boy style). I came up with this idea to help with that and it worked wonderfully. The same piece is still on the butt of that rifle.

I use duct tape on a couple of guns. It works fine.
