Remembering Parker . . .

Parker would have been 29 years old today. He was put down due to cancer after bringing 11 years 5 months and 6 days of joy to our lives. FUNNY THING: Parker, a Ryman Setter, lived his entire life in the house with my wife Kathy and myself. Our rule was he NEVER was allowed up on the furniture. When we left the house, for whatever reason, Parker would always be sitting looking out of our front window awaiting our return. Then one night we were out and when we came home Parker was not in the window, so we snuck up, peered through the front window and there he was all sprawled out laying on his back on our living room couch! We then quietly snuck in through the garage, into the kitchen and then into the living room only to find him curled up flapping his tail on the living room floor - obviously his attempt at fooling us of his transgressions. Such are our furry friends, bringing such joy to our lives! |
I get it Greg.

While she was a Border Terrier and not a bird dog , I had her cremated when she passed and her ashes were put in the box with my fathers ashes when I had his service . To be honest the remains of our two previous Border Terriers were boxed and put in the box with my father and this one’s ashes .
