PARKER BROS. BH GRADE
What looked to be a very nice original Parker 12 bore BH Grade sold a Julia's last weekend for $3,450 which was less than half the low estimate of $7,500. Straight grip too! Did anyone here snag that beauty?
Best regards, George |
George, what was the lot number?
|
Dean: The Lot No. was 1214, SN 95987

I had admired that BH in the Julia catalog. I especially like the engraving but the entire gun is just wonderful. I don't know why I didn't bid on that gun but I'm sure that if I had it would have hammered at a much higher price. I can't understand why more people didn't bid on it... economy? I don't know but I do know what I would have paid for it and it would have been less than the high estimate. Maybe the high estimate kept us all away... all but one I guess. What I can't figure out is why there wasn't a reserve on this fine Parker.

What about the 200 dollar grade hammer gun (just a guess on grade). The prices are up never mind.

$200 grade, what did I miss? Where is that, at the Julia auction?
|
I don't know Robin, just a guess from somebody who knows enough to get in trouble maybe the checkering isn't fancy enough. You look at it and you can give me a lesson. But its a dandy in my opinion. best ch
