12ga. 34" VHE

I had posted about wanting a 34” 12ga. Parker not too long ago, and a member contacted me about this VHE. We worked out a deal and it came in the mail on Friday.

I had a chance to test it out today at sporting clays today. I am usually not a beaver tail forend fan, but I have to admit it is very functional. This Parker and I became good friends rather quickly as close and far targets were vaporized.

I am going to bring it to my Thursday night wobble trap league this week. I like my chances with this gun…

Is it just me, or does this have a touch more engraving on the Parker Bros on the receiver, than a regular VH?

A straight stock 34” double trigger beavertail gun! Wow what a gun! How is it choked and what is the LOP?

Jay Oliver 02-19-2023 07:20 PM

Thanks Reggie! The LOP is 14 1/4 and the gun is choked .035/.040 Though I was hitting close crossers no problem. It was doing very well on the sporting clays course for a trap gun. I love it!

Nice gun for sure. Can't be certain but it looks to me like it may have a Parker trap comb and a thick wrist to go along with it? Nice setup.

The engraving looks to be standard for a VHE of that era.

Nice gun though!

I agree with Dean..That's standard engraving for a V grade Parker of that time.

I just meant the way Parker Bros was written(or Engraved rather) on the receiver. It looked a little nicer to my eye, but then I always like the way it is written...

Randy I am not to sure on your questions. The wrist does seems a little thicker and the beginning of the comb seems a little more rounded. This is new Parker territory for me.

I think the comb has been reduced or lowered and that, in my opinion, is why the comb looks like a trap comb… or it could have origibally been made that way per dims ordered.

Definitely Dean. From the pictures it just looks beefy especially in the wrist but a good picture of the top of the comb would tell all. No matter Jay it's a cool gun either way.

I need to get a letter on this gun. I was shooting it very well and like the stock dimensions. This is also my first gun without a safety and while it took me a few stations to get usec to it, I like it for targets.

Dean, I will bring it to our shoot in April.
