Gun safe -space saving

A recent discussion on the Fox forum centered on gun safes and
conservation or added space within a gun safe for long guns.

The best method I have found is a"lazy-susan" styled revolving
circular platform stabilizing a dozen shotguns or rifles. The base turns on bearings allowing the entire unit to store or pick out guns from the unit.
Circular platforms-top and bottom-hold and stabilize rifles or shotguns.

I have owned mine for at least 20 years and would not give it up for rifle/shotgun storage in my Liberty safe. A bit of re-arranging can really help access without marring finish or scarring fine guns. I pad the buttplate slots with small bubble wrap, protecting original Silvers or other rare pads on stocks. Gun socks I use also add protection and fit well, insuring "safe"-safe storage.
Fits well for rifles or shotguns, and still allows more gun storage along the sides within the safe. Pistols and other valuables can be fitted in space on shelves above the unit.

Examples of this revolving style safe rack can be seen at Rush Creek Creations-on the net.
Mine is an older wood unit, but the principle in space saving is the same.
There are others out there so Google them up, if you wish to research the idea for your safe. You might be glad you did.

It's pretty straight forward and easy to figure out, unless you own 5 safes and have all the space secured that you will ever need. For most, any help inside a safe for more usable space and easy shotgun access is welcomed. :)

I’ve been in a similar situation, trying to fit more long guns into my safe without scratching or damaging them. I tried a few different racks, but none were as effective as the rotating design you described. I actually ended up using a similar setup in my Liberty safe, which made a huge difference in how easy it is to access my rifles without messing with the rest of the storage. I also use gun socks and some padding, like you mentioned, to protect the finishes. I’d definitely recommend looking into most trusted gun safes like Liberty if you’re after something durable and secure.

Too bad someone doesn’t come up with pull-out inserts like I recently installed in our kitchen cabinets. They work great! Carousels are nice for accessibility but you do lose usable space.

Seems to me if you have a dozen long guns in your safe, you don't have enough guns.

Looked at Rush Creek Creations, but could not find one that would handle SXSs
They state for single barrel guns and OUs.
