Parker Help Please
 

Sirs, I am a PGCA member, but I do not have any of the "books." Could someone please tell me how # 121294 left the factory ?

121294 is not in the book 121262 then 121291 then 121324. sorry

Thanks. As it sits, it is a DHE, 12bore, 30" Titanic barrels, capped pistol grip, double triggers, and an ugly orange pad. I suspect being a grade 3 gun it had skeleton buttplate at one time. The front page says that it will letter. Maybe the letter will tell. I haven't aquired it yet. I'm in negotiations. It's either the Parker or a Colt SP1. I wish I could do both but I have to pick one.

I would think the Parker.....Yes?....:)

That ugly orange pad could be an original Silvers pad that the customer ordered and paid extra for from Parker, a letter would tell you if it was ordered that way or not.

Is it possible for a shotgun to not be in the serializtion book ( if that's the right name for 'The Book' ) and yet still be able to get a letter? Or vice versa?

I mean I guess it's possible b/c the potential shotgun I'm interested happens to be this way. What I guess I'm wondering is does it happen often ?

Robert: Yes, that is entirely possible. Definitely buy the Parker.

The Serialization Book information comes from the "stock books". The PGCA letter will most likely come from the "order books". The order book should have information on the purchaser and the recoil pad, if original. The "stock book" would have provided information on neither. Get the letter.

This Parker has more case color than any I have owned. Can anyone tell by the pics the approx. remaining color? How can I take better pics. of the case color?

Robert, I find that I get best results taking pictures outdoors on a cloudy day. Congratulations on a great D grade gun.
