New Member Inherited Parker
 

Hi All, my grandpa recently passed. He was a firearms collector starting around the 1950s and always wanted dreamed of having a Parker. By the time he passed he owned 2 which he was so proud of. I was lucky enough to have inherited them now sending me down the path of Parker knowledge. Looks like a wealth of knowledge here, look forward to learning from you all!

I only have possession of one so far, it appears to be a:
Grade: GH - Grade 2
SN: 201067
Mfg Date: 1923
Frame Size: 1-1/2
Barrel: Parker Spec. Steel
Barrel Weight: 3lb 12oz
12 Gauge

If anyone has any other info they could share about my new treasure, please share!

The ejector is broken and there are a bag of parts with it. From the schematics in the Tech information, It appears as if the 'Right Hand Combination Sear' is broken.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

Your gun appears to be wearing forend wood from a DHE. Does the forend iron serial number match the gun? If so, then the wood was just changed for some reason.

Bear in mind that the ejector parts are all individually hand fitted. Locating one is only half the battle. Fitting it is the other half. They dont just simply install and work out of the box.

Hi Dan, congratulations on your new Parkers. Could you post a picture of the barrel flats please? I ask because you stated the frame size was a 12. Most likely it's a 12 gauge, there is no frame size 12. You also said the barrel weight was 3. You could be right but that could also be the frame size. A nice close-up picture of the barrel flats will clear all of that up. Include the bottom of the lug as well please.

And in this example, we know that the grade of steel is “Vulcan”, and the barrel maker was Walter King.

The front forend serial number does match. Can you tell it was swapped by the quality of wood or checkering?

It does say 12 and 1-1/2, so must be frame size of 1-1/2
Barrel weight says 3^12, Does this mean 3lb 12oz?

Yes. The wood was swapped from a different gun. A DHE. And it was from a 2 or 3 frame gun as it is wider than it should be on your 1-1/2 frame gun. And you can see that the wood to metal fit is lacking in many areas. The original forend likely was damaged and that is the beat that could be found at the time to replace it with.

Welcome, Dan. The stock on this Parker appears to be hiding some very nicely grained wood. Lots of years on the finish.
