ticks

I know these blood suckers are a big problem in the north east I assume elsewhere as well.

this might have been discussed before - but in case you missed it.

I did some research and decided to try this stuff by Sawyer -

safe for the dog, my setter has had allergic reactions to some meds - so I tried this ahead of hunting so that I could react if he has issues, but he was fine.

I sprayed him according to the directions and also soaked the cuffs of my brush pants and the sleeves, collar and the front placket on my shirts and my hat and hung them out to dry. Then give my boots a spray each trip.

so far - far fewer ticks when we leave the covers this year - one or two on the dog instead of several to a dozen. and I have found one on me

as they always say - your results may vary

I have been using it for about 5 years on my boots and hunting clothes and my sons also. 1 tick on the outside pants leg and he was leaving as fast as he could. We have had no ticks get on body. Bought concentrate at Tractor supply and mix in spray bottle. Also it will stop spiders in the cellar and prevent wasps from nesting under eaves.

The ticks in the UP were terrible!! I find few ticks on our Setters in PA or Maine. MI was a different story!! Every time we stopped for a break I was picking ticks off of Callie and myself. :cuss:
