1 1/2 oz 10 gauge reloads

I know I'm being lazy but I thought I would ask, I have looked over Pete Lester's pages of Short Ten recipes, (Thanks Pete). I just thought maybe someone has a load with this amount of lead that they really liked and would be willing to share.

any one have a load they put together for 1 1/2 ounce lead in a 10 gauge 2 7/8"Cheddite Hull, or maybe even had tested?

Don't ask me why:nono:

If ya is shooting a BIG GUN, why shoot a small load:cool:

I like your saying if you shoot a big gun why shoot a small load...a 1 1/2 ounce load in a 10 ga should be a very good load...charlie

I loaded some 1 1/2 ounce using the same powder charge I use for 1 1/4 that being 30 grains of SR7625 . And saw no I’ll effects , I’d loaded it for spring gobble birds . Now with that being said it was in a REM hull with SP-10 wad . Anymore I don’t differentiate between the REM and Cheddite/RST hulls for the 10 gauge . That 30 grains of 7625 I also use to push 730 grain slugs which are 1.67 ounces . Now then you’re well aware that’s worked in the guns I’ve tried it . How it reacts in someone else’s may be totally different .
