New Parker owner from PA
Hello
recently learned about Parker shotguns after purchasing one at an auction. Happy to be a new member here. |
Hi, Chris. Welcome. I saw your Trojan on another post. Looks to be a nice gun. Have you checked to see if there are records for that serial number? You can do so easily from the home page. I'm sure you'll get some suggestions regarding price/value, but remember, at the auction you went to you paid just what you needed to in order to get the gun...and there was at least one other person who was willing to go that one bid shy.
The old guns are about the past and the craftsmanship that went into their manufacture. Each gun has its own history, and now you'll be adding to it. Enjoy your Parker! |
Welcome to you Chris.
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm with us. We feel the same enthusiasm. These are great guns to shoot and learn about. Hope you get out into the field with yours soon. Also hope you get some of the classic books soon if not already in your library. A good one to start with is: Parker Guns "the Old Reliable" by Ed Muderlak. The others are all good to read and absorb too. Ed Muderlak’s was not the first book about these and is also not the last word. Welcome Chris! My first Parker was a Trojan as well. Hope you become a member and get a few more. They are a lot of fun to shoot
