Infallible Trigger Photos

So I am having a single trigger VH 12g restocked that’ll be a hunting gun. The existing stock has a 13 1/4” LOP over a spacer and recoil pad. I picked up a 95% finished stock in Vegas from Keith Kearcher. In order to check the fit of the new stock the trigger plate had to be pulled. Since I’ve never seen an Infallible trigger up close I figured I’d take some photos. So, here they are.

The cool thing about the infallible triggers is that they are a standalone unit that inserts into the altered trigger plate. When you pull them out, everything is contained in the framework of the unit. And still operates out of the gun.

I didn’t know that! That is a great design feature and seems advanced for its time.

Here are some photos of the mostly finished stock that will go on the gun.

What do you reckon these are for? Adjustment or weight reduction....seems like a trivial amount of weight though.

I have no idea except to guess. My guess would be for the trigger position, forward, middle or rear to set LOP. But that's probably way off.

It seems reasonable and plausible...

I would guess the designer and manufacturer had gunmakers in addition to Parker in mind, therefore the adjustability designed in.

I have one of these on a 20 gauge Parker project gun I am pulling together

Mine was installed by a previous owner and never setup correctly,

Following your post with appreciation and interest

Any Idea of a ‘smith with expertise in these contraptions?

Brian Dudley? Lou Rotelli? Definitely Dan Rositter but he’s kept busy at G&H. You could try the Single Trigger Co.

I got the call today that the stock is fit, gun reassembled and function fired. I will pick it up this week and then finish the stock. I may have it ready by our March trip to Thunderstick Lodge in SD!
