Good News
For the last year or so shotgun powders have been pretty skimpy. However, today a small local gun shop got a shipment of powder. He got 80 8# of Clays at $202 and of particular importance to me 60 8# of Win WSF at an astonishing $160. WSF is my preferred 20 ga powder. Best keep your eyes open as other shops may also receive back orders.

Good news indeed Gary but most likely still no primers available ???

Midway has been having more powders in but they limit you to one pound so that's a waste with the hazmat fee.

I was not physically in the shop so I did not check over the inventory. A friend of mime lives close by and he called to alert me of the powder availability. I had him purchase powder for me. I might get there myself tomorrow.

Was at the Cabelas Wheeling, Wv this afternoon. They had approx 30 boxes of Federal 20 ga 8 shot @ $9.99/box. They also had 12 ga. Winchester Super X, 1 and 1 1/8 oz target loads for $9.99/box. Anybody need 'em? Could pick them up and take them with me to Hausmann's

$9.99/box for 20g is good!

Good find Harold! I have plenty of 20 ga. but at those prices I would follow your lead and buy what I could and resell at the Southern or Hausmann's, etc. 12's are scarce hereabouts, 20s extremely so, 16s all you want at $225.50 per flat(!), 28 ga. @ $250-275 per flat and one Mohawk dealer was seen offering standard 2 1/2" .410 skeet loads in #9 shot @ $35 per BOX (with a very testy comeback when asked why they were so high!!). Any more I buy ammo when & where I find it if prices are at all reasonable. When the warm weather returns I want to be out there banging away, not scrounging gun shows and arguing with narrow-minded scalpers about decent prices for ammo.
