New Federal High Over All
I have a few flats of these coming and I'm interested if anyone has seen them or reloaded them. It's a ONE piece wad/hull like a Gun Club/Nitro I believe which is not inconceivable since Vista owns them. I would ASSUME the load data is the same but wondering if anyone has had a chance to use them yet. If nobody has I'll post my experience after I put a few boxes through in the next week or two.

Looks like a STS/Nitro 27 hull to me. Nice to see the combined Remington/Federal doing some cross marketing-product development, just like the Remy/Peters/Federal paper hulls. Hopefully more good stuff in the future. The other neat change is you can order Remington and Federal shells direct from the manufacturer delivered to your door with free shipping with a orders over $150. The guys at Vista seem to get it in the current state of consumer affairs.

I will post back after I shoot them but I'm excited to see how they are and how they reload. I think that's a new wad.

You need to bring some extra down here and I'll help you evaluate their performance. Just sayin'.

My crystal ball agrees with Andy's assessment for the "out period". Local supermarkets have shelves empty of staples like cream cheese, cereals, graham crackers, zip lock storage bags, etc because they're all on allocation; and we wonder and complain about pricings for the complex to make powder, primers and shells that do make it to the market? Free money, worker shortages, inflation, material supply issues, almost all the familiar commercial powders are now made at only one facility in the US, increased environmental scrutiny, and management having to jump thru hoops to offer workers more money and incentives while also trying to turn a dime for stockholders. I know many if not all of these are inter-related and in any case I think we're in the new normal. Just my assessment fwiw.

I'll stick to reloading. I am currently loading 1 oz 12's for $4.75 with my remaining pre-pandemic supplies. Enough to shoot for the next year. I've just finished purchasing supplies for the following year at new inflated prices and it still comes out to $5.80 per box. A looong way from $10-20 for factory stuff.

True Gary but given limited time with work I’ll pick shooting over sitting at a bench any day. I do see a progressive loader in my future though. I can’t load fast enough.
