Picked these items up at a local auction, I thought they’re pretty neat!

Just for you, my friend :)

Daryl Corona 01-13-2022 05:09 PM

Ahhhh. Displayed in a place of reverence not with the common oils I see.

Those Ithaca Gun Oil cans are perhaps more rare, they are quite valuable if and when for sale

Rick Losey 01-14-2022 10:26 AM

the Ithaca oil was not available for long

Ithaca bought gun oil by the barrel and paid workers to put it in the little cans by hand

I don't expect it took very long for the efficiency/ "motion study" experts of the day to say
Umm , can we talk :banghead:

I see those cans sell for hundreds, there are two in the nose bleed asking price level on eBay right now
the same can with a different brand name in great condition is very reasonable

Rick,
Thanks for reminding me, that must have been a painfully slow process.

I guess there must be much less of them around, because it is hard to find a good one under $700, they sure have a following.

How about Signet Oil, recommended by Parker Brothers?

Daryl Corona 01-15-2022 10:30 AM

Didn't Parker also recommend 3in1 oil?
