Boston Sportsmen’s Show of 1898:
2 Attachment(s)
The “Parker Story” set was delivered today. While perusing, my Damascus 1898 GH hammerless 16 gauge was listed as a display gun at the Boston Sportsman’s Show of 1898. It was among the 52 Parkers on display. The exhibit consisted of largely high grade examples, from one Whitworth AAH grade 7 on down to a twist 34” PH grade.
The factory letter indicates the shotgun was ordered for the Boston Show on March 4, 1898. The “Parker Story” had been on my wish list forever and finally I was fortunate to obtain them at a reasonable price from a fellow member. |
You're a lucky guy Bruce!

That is cool! My VH 12 was in the 1901 Boston show. Would love to own a high grade show gun one day

I did an article in DGJ about two AHs that I own both show guns. One was a Boston show gun the other a Madison Square Garden show gun. The article goes into detail about both shows. I'm out of town and can't recall the issue date.

Bruce, your gun did some traveling before it found a home.

Henry Hudson was a notable sporting goods dealer in Portland. I have an E 10 gauge shipped to him. Interesting about the final destination in Raleigh. You don't see too many shipped to the South, although I have accumulated a few
