What ever became of these…

Flipping thru an old SS and saw this. Were any actually sold? Sorry for the bad orientation.

A search will turn up several threads on the quick demise of this endeavor.

I tried that first and wasn’t successful. I’ll keep trying.

Murphy and McCormack examined and McCormack test fired a prototype at a New York Vintage Cup a few years back. Murphy was not impressed with the very "busy" breech face area which appeared to be an area where dirt and debris would collect.

I always resented the use of the name Parker Bros. I thought it an attempt to cash in on the Parker Bros. legacy with an inferior gun. I was glad when it failed.
|
I have the prototype receiver ..and some extra machined parts..

I heard they were taking Parkers in for repair and refurbishment as well. Seems like a guy posted an absolute horror story on here about a gun of his they destroyed.

If the legal issues did not kill it, the Market would have. I cannot imagine why anyone would have wanted to buy them. In a Market flooded with O/U shotguns, it brought nothing to the table. And they could have done much better of they wanted to somehow appeal to the Parker crowd.

It was nothing more than a novelty endeavor and it fell flat on its face. Just one more cashing in on the Parker name.
I wonder what we could have expected if it had succeeded….? . |
Who was actually building these guns?
