I’ve tried in vain to talk to the seller about the monoblocing but he says factory work

Dean Romig 08-04-2021 03:53 PM

Here’s one time I can say these words with conveiction….

Parker Brothers never did that.

Monoblocking - I declare!

Yep. Another reason to avoid GunBroker

Brian Dudley 08-04-2021 05:39 PM

To be fair, the seller makes not claims to originality in his description. And also makes no mention of the sleeving of the barrels let alone who may have done the work.
And the gun was opened at only $400. There are plenty of photos that make it clear to see that the gun was sleeved and also recolored, for those that know what they are looking at.

Brian, in 4 email communications he stated that they were done at the factory

In my opinion, it's not a zero frame either. Again, in my opinion, it's a worn out 12 gauge in a large frame. About $2200 overpriced at this time. Serial number 65,750. Uninformed bidders unfortunately.

Bill it started life as a D3 cpistolgrip 28” Barrels no extras

David C Porter 08-04-2021 08:18 PM

Don't waste your money. It's a real sloppy job on the sleeving & brazing on metel to the extractors. also, it looks like the extension rib stop plate has been welded up & beat with a hammer.

Jim DiSpagno 08-04-2021 08:38 PM

Wasn’t even looking but just wanted to see if the seller knew what he was selling.

Dave Noreen 08-04-2021 09:09 PM

They were sleeved in someone's factory. Just neither Parker Bros. or Remington's. The pictures show it to be a 1-frame. Dit it start life as a light 12-gauge or a 16-gauge?

I see what you mean, but there is no "stop plate" on an extractor gun.
