Ithaca Identification

Somewhat interested in this Ithaca 12 gauge. Can anyone identify what model it is? The seller calls it a 1, one what? Possibilities Lewis, Minier, Flues or NID. Confusing for me. It's not priced as a bargain at $1299, but it's an attractive shotgun. Thanks in advance.

My primary interests are older, more vintage shotguns. Like most collectors/shooters the higher grades easily garner more interest. This example has it's merits, especially nice condition, but I'll have to continue seeking out that "Unbelievable screaming deal", hopefully a Parker Bros.
Here is the link if anyone is interested.

I'm just curious seeking information, I'm not a shill for these folks but they do occasionally have items that interest me.

The No. 1 was in the NID period Ithaca catalogs from 1926 through 1934. From the large 1928 Ithaca Gun Co. catalog, sorry my scanner won't do their whole 14" pages --

The No. 1 was gone from the 1935 and onward Ithaca Gun Co. catalogs along with the cocking indicators. However, they did continue to make a few. My No. 1 28-gauge without cocking indicators shipped in late 1935 --

The bold floral engraving pattern was introduced during 1915 on the Flues No. 1 1/2 --

During 1919 Ithaca combined their No. 1 and No. 1 1/2 and the New No. 1 had the bold floral engraving.

I really like the engraving pattern for the Flues and NID. Much like the later Smith Ideal grade. I've not seen too many with that pattern on an NID.

That's a dandy looking Ithaca!

That’s a really decent price for that gun, I think, they aren’t for sale that nice very often. I really like Ithaca NID guns. The mechanical design of a NID is really good, maybe among the best. In that regard they rival the side plate Lefever and Fox in my opinion. Thanks for sharing the listing!
