Sorry; not a fine gun or double in the bunch...
I mentioned a while back that my brother-in-law passed away; we went home for a couple days to help my sister-in-law, and I came home with four guns. Not a one of them is anything special as guns go, none are pristine or even close, but I was honored that the family thought I should have them. He had several others that were passed along, and a few that will be sold, but these are mine...
His father's Winchester 1890, well used but still a darn good shooter... https://i.imgur.com/L64Vz82l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/H88q1tVl.jpg and one of his dad's shotguns, an Iver Johnson Champion in .410. Again, well used and the butt plate is unfortunately broken; I'll be on the hunt for a replacement... https://i.imgur.com/6fkLDMGl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bEDyuKsl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0SE08JQl.jpg and my father-in-law's pistol, just an Italian-made .22. It was in its holster and strapped to the steering column of his truck for as long as I can remember... https://i.imgur.com/QXu7qbrl.jpg and last but not least, my brother-in-law's first shotgun, a good ol' .410 Stevens 940. I don't know if he got it new or used; painted stock, and pretty beat, and someone must have added the pad at some point because the stock angles don't match. It's a Stevens pad though; I've got two other Stevens with pads just like it... https://i.imgur.com/ZHF3oBSl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GIanD1Il.jpg Anyway, like I said...nothing special. Except to me. |
Phil, I have two IJ buttplates I’ll send you, an original and a reproduction both in very nice condition.
