Got my Research letter today Got my research letter in today , I was actually able to find out a good bit on Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co . My main question though is what does it mean "1-EXT for 25357 gun" ? |
|
Maybe because around that serials ess no barrel or dolls head number extension and they wanted one. JMHO |

I have a few from Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett. They were a big sporting goods store. |

If the 1 Ext part is about a dolls head then Parker never fulfilled that request as it doesn't have one . The weight surprised me I had figured it was a few ounces lighter . The turn around time was quick also on getting my letter . |

I wondered the same thing. I just write what is found in the order. |

The first Parker produced with the doll's head was No. 25992 so I don't think the "1-Ext for 25357" had anything to do with a doll's head rib extension. . |

Alot of times these old guns like to keep their secrets . |

Reading the letter, I immediately thought J.J. Progue was ordering an extractor for gun number 25357. |

Sure! 17 years after production that makes sense. . |
