Question about cases. "British Lever"
Several years ago I bought an old leather covered case for a double gun at British Sporting Arms (What a great shop btw). It had a Holland and Holland trade label stuck inside, but the label appeared to be applied late in life.
I took a gun to the gunsmith today, and he said "oh a Parker Repro case with a H&H Sticker". So, now I'm trying to figure out if it really is a repro case? Not much defining marks to it, but the spot for the key is marked "British Lever" How else can I tell if it is a Parker Repro Case? |
Post a picture.

None of the original cases made by Emmebi in Italy for Parker Reproductions that I've encountered have had "British Lever" anywhere on them. I would say the chances of yours being an original Repro case is very unlikely. If you can post a pic of it we'll tell you in a second if it's an authentic original Parker Reproduction case. Short of posting a pic you can go here, take a look at some of these cases and compare yours to them:

Thanks fellas,
TO my eyes, it is clearly made by the same company. They look SOoo similar BUT the REPROs have a dual lock. This one I have has a center lock, but the insides and the green and the leather look very very simliar |
English Lever latches are installed on English cases, end of story, I think.
