Mild Stock Work

I just inherited my dads Parker Brothers GH model 12 gage. The neck of the stock has spread about a 16th of an inch on both sides allowing a little side to side movement. Is there anything I can do fix this at home? Any thoughts and ideas would help.

We don't know if you can do it at home, but the staple method is a great alternative to the old way, which was drilling through the cheeks of the stock and installing a bolt from one side to the other.

Thanks for the info, looks like the staple method would be the way to go.

Thanks for the reply, looks like the staple method is the best way to go.
