Joined some friends today for the last day of deer chasing . We did six man drives but no shots were fired even though we spotted several . Wanted to take Brutus but I didn’t feel like toting a 14 pound gun so ended up with a little Parker VH 16 gauge with 26” IC/M barrels on an 0 frame .

I'm curious. What ammo do you use in a 16 ga choked IC/M for deer?

#1 buck and or slugs .

Both handloaded and factory loaded .

I've got a GH 16 that had an inch removed and is about S&S now that shoots my handloaded home cast slugs well out to fifty yards .

nice gun I have been on plenty of man drives we took lots of deer doing this...wish I could get one of my doubles to shoot out to 50 yards accurately....my 10 ga ph with shooting 12 ga foster type slugs does pretty good at 40 yards...always wanted to take a deer with a 410 slug...I bought a bolt action 410 to do this with but aint tried it yet....charlie
