When the top lever is right of center on a well-used sxs like this one does it indicate wear or does the gun need a good cleaning?

On that particular Parker I think it needs waaay more than a good cleaning.....:eek:

The top lever could be stopping when it contacts that enormous non original hand screw.

Ill let ya all know when I get it sometimes ya gotta say ... ! Im after the barrels ,but ya never know . Money is worthless in the bank and winters on its way

That gun was likely tightened back up incorrectly and the lever position was not set. I have seen this before on guns that were “tightened back up”. But not to this extent.
