C grade skeleton butt plate engraving

Finishing up a new skeleton butt plate for a C grade restock and need a picture of an existing one in order to match the engraving, anyone have one they can share?
Thanks

This is on a 16 GA #131106. Sorry, not the best picture but it may help.

Keavin,
Not sure what time period you were looking for but this is from an early C grade 16 with Bernard barrels.

Here's a re-cut of a T/A Grade 4 hammer gun.

The plates on C and D are pretty much the same.

Dean, is the finish rust blue or nitre blue on that?

Dean Romig 12-02-2020 10:35 AM

It is nitre blued.

I sent the whole buttstock and forend as well as the trigger guard to be refinished a few years back. He had the metal parts re-engraved and nitre blued by someone in Canada and he did the wood. I was blown away when I got it back.

Well silly me - I neglected to say that I sent it to Chris Dawe in Newfoundland. Sorry about that... apologies to Chris as well.
