1904 Side-by-Side VH Grade 10 Ga.
I recently inherited the subject shotgun. It is in used condition and has a shoulder stock repair. For a used gun that at 116 years old, it is remarkably tight and preserved.
Has anyone seen a Vulcan steel 10 gauge with 24.5 inches barrels? I am wondering how rare this particular gun may be. |
Something isn't right here. We are going to need to see a bunch of good pictures of this gun. The Quality VH wasn't offered in 10-gauge with Vulcan Steel barrels until the 1930s. I'm sure it didn't leave Meriden with 24.5 inch barrels. They have surely been cut.

A VH 10g would be relatively rare. Too bad the barrels got bobbed down so short.

Without pictures and more information, this post is worthless. Parker did not offer VH’s in 10 gauge until nearly 1930. It is possible this was a 3 frame 12 for which 10 gauge barrels were later ordered
