Alittle 410 fun this morning
2 Attachment(s)
Decided to take the 410s out and knock the dust off them early this morning. I only wish the Eurasion were flying today. Maybe they took the morning off and went to church. Will take the hammer guns tomorrow.

What fun!

Are the 410's Crescents? Very nice!

Yes, they are. Can't afford a Parker 410....

Oh yeah, I love my Crescents, great for quail also! Some guns just fit and are the perfect shooter.

I shot a humbling round of sporting clays with my Fox FE 410 over the weekend. Need to get it out more as I hope to use it on woodcock in a couple of weeks and quail in January.

I'll trade you all 3 of my Crescentstuff for your's! I was fortunate enough to hold a little FE 410 years back, wow, what a beautiful gun it is!

I'm a .410 dove and quail shooter too, Chris. I know how much fun it is to take a limit with one.
When I'm shooting late season doves here, lots of them are big, mature migratory birds. And, they take some killing. Way tougher than early season doves. I have found that the WW 3/4 oz. load patterns beautifully in my guns. It goes against all reason, but they do. Big medicine for late season doves. What loads do you use? Do you stick with 1/2 oz., as I assume your Crescents are all 2 1/2" chambered? Best, SRH |
For sure Stan, them birds can be tough ol cobs! I'm sold on the 2 1/2" half ounce load. I've been loading #9 shot for the past couple years. I'll load 7 1/2 or 8's for quail. They pattern nice and hit hard!
