One of these days, I am going to try grouse hunting . . . Very jealous

Mills, I want to try western grouse hunting. I keep saying I am going to start out in Idaho or Montana and work my way back thru Minn, Wis, to the UP. Of course would have to try for sharptails in Mont. or the Dakotas. Chukars and Huns would be cool too.

Great pics Fred! What state are you hunting?

Fred Slyfield 09-01-2020 09:31 PM

I’m in Central Washington,

I would imagine it is still pretty warm, even in the higher elevations. Ive been hunting grouse in the Appalachians since i was 13 yrs old (66 now), but that western grouse hunting would be al new to me.

Yes this year it’s warm elevations are up to 6000 where I hunt
The big blue grouse are fun to hunt and very good table fare!!
