Trap ammo

Hi all, I have searched the threads and nothing jumped out at me, but I apologize if this is a repeat, I will happily redirect to an existing thread.

So, I have a nice coupon to a shooting supply store and thought I would grab some shells to shoot when my new-to-me gun comes back from it's physical. I will be shooting clays, probably 5 stand.

28" 1925 VH, 1.5 frame, being shot by a novice. RST 2.5 lite 8?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Pam

Those RST's would be perfect Pam

That's right Pam, that's what most of us use in our old Parkers. You can't beat them.

I agree with Dave and Dean just I would probably use 7 1/2's instead of 8's, have a little more breaking power on the longer shots or the rabbits on the SC field. Eric

While we're on the trap ammo topic, has anyone tried RST's new premium ammo - I'm looking at using the 3.5 DE 2 3/4 #8 in my 1929 SC Trap (ejector repaired by Chris T. recenlty)? Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, all!
