gun action question
When I hold my NH vertical and turn it 180 degrees theres a little click inside like something moving back and fourth. Sometimes theres a tiny catch in it when I open it. Any ideas? ch

Symptomatic of a broken coil spring. Is the catch in the top lever movement or as you rotate the barrels open and down?
|
When you open the barrels say a 1/3 or less on the way down. Doesn't do it every time.
Next question is there coilsprings out there or do they have to be made. |
I had the coil springs replaced on my DHE by Griffin & Howe. Call Paul Chapman and talk to him about your gun.

Those would be your hammer cocking springs. I've had them replaced on two of my guns, resulting from weak primer strikes. As long as you are in there, replace both of them. Usually, a Parker can operate a long time with a broken hammer spring, so this is a no hurry, after season, matter. You won't know for sure until you get into the gun. Again, most problems are from gunk, so try cleaning before you start turning screws.
