8 Gauge Bore bush and wooden rod

Just a heads up to anyone shooting 8 gauge. I was able to order direct a high quality 8 gauge bore brush and 51" 3 piece Parker Hale rod (yea the ultimate rod for those 36 to 40" Parkers) from ANT Supply UK (google them). The bore brush was 8.00 pounds and the rod was 23 pounds. Very nice British quality and shipping from the UK was no problem, very nice people to do business with.

23 pounds?? Good grief, Charlie Brown.

$28.27 by today’s exchange rate . I bought a Pro Shot 42” rod thru Midway two weeks ago and it was about $35 if memory serves . Incidentally in the one I have ten gauge brushes do a pretty decent job .

Sorry, I am still in $2.80 per pound mode. I will check in on the next Holt's auction and try to buy a Purdey hammerless pigeon gun.

You could also just use a chimney sweep brush. The small size brush would do.

You have an 8g. gun Craig?

I have eight gauge guns, but I don't clean them.

Brian yep I bought an 8 GH 36" that was listed on the forum a couple months ago. Picture of the cleaning rod, very nice quality in my opinion.
