LC Smith

Was looking at a very nice L.C. Smith(late 40's gun) that is close to mint condition. The thing that concerns me is that it has a weep hole in front of the barrel lug like the late Remington Parkers. Should the LC Smiths have the weep hole or not? The gun looks original with about 90%+ case and just some light field use.

Most LC’s I know of had weep holes.

Smith put weep holes in their guns.

It is not too uncommon to find the 1940s vintage guns in very nice condition.

You do not have to be a member to visit the forum; buy a gun, yes.

I have an unaltered 1940 LC Smith 16ga FWT field model.

The "weep hole" is in front of the Forearm Lug. Assuming that is what this hole is anyway.... I really had not heard that term before, so maybe that's not it...
