LC Smith
Was looking at a very nice L.C. Smith(late 40's gun) that is close to mint condition. The thing that concerns me is that it has a weep hole in front of the barrel lug like the late Remington Parkers. Should the LC Smiths have the weep hole or not? The gun looks original with about 90%+ case and just some light field use.

Most LC’s I know of had weep holes.

Smith put weep holes in their guns.
It is not too uncommon to find the 1940s vintage guns in very nice condition. |

I have an unaltered 1940 LC Smith 16ga FWT field model.
The "weep hole" is in front of the Forearm Lug. Assuming that is what this hole is anyway.... I really had not heard that term before, so maybe that's not it... |
