Un “hinging” a vh 20

Just received 127910, VH 20. The gun was shipped assembled, and I quickly found out why! I cannot get the barrels off the frame. Evidence suggests that the gun has been put back on face and tightened. Is there a “trick” for removing the barrels?

Try dry firing both barrels. This often will allow the barrels to be removed then.

I wrote a pretty extensive article in PP a few years ago about guns not unhooking.

A thought about your gun and it being put back on face. If the barrels were moved back enough, that can effect EVERYTHING in regards to unhooking. A lot of parts may need to be reworked in order to get it working right again.

Thanks to both of you...

Dry firing the gun worked. the barrels are original, but obvious the gun had been tightened up, and a good job was done of it.

This little 0 frame gun id ready to hunt with as is...Stock head is pinned, not pretty, but effective.
