Simmons Barrel Project

Has anyone heard the latest in regards to Simmons and their barrels?

Has anyone recieved the finished product yet?

John- I spoke to Reggy after I talked to you the other night. He gave me a delivery time of February. So far so good.

John, I think that reggie was a little disappointed with the feed back from the vintigers, etc he said and I agree that these barrels are not the perfect collectors barrels but simply a good replacement for old damascus or twist barrels that have seen there best days. The great part is you have a parker to shoot that you did not have before. You also have a darn good set of replacement barrels, It would be unrealistic to think they could be made exactly as the original.

I also recently talked to Reggie and it is my understanding it is no longer a Simmons project but now "belongs" to Reggy. I am due my 28 hammergun sometime in Jan. and Reggy has done a lot of work to make it right. I have started on a second project-an upgrade A grade underlever at 7lb in 12 ga. Reggy is going to supply the ribs for $250.
